I sure have a few favorite ones, but as a reader I'm not choosing based only of the trope. And I often find when all tropes are told beforehand that it removes some of the magic of reading a book and not knowing what to expect and how the story will unfold.
If the surprise pregnancy happens at 50%, well, I don't wanna know before I start reading. Does it make sense? Do you agree?
That's why I prefer non-specific tropes like military or rock stars or small town or second chances romance, this way it preserves the mystery.
As an author, I don't plan tropes before writing, they kind of just happen. And then I have to figure out which ones fit best. It would be so much easier if my brain thought in reverse sometimes! (facepalming myself haha)
