First, how many subgenres of romance books can you name? There are so many it's easy to get lost. And no one has to be loyal to only one genre. So which one is your top favorite (or which ones).
I found this post that explain the differences between most of them if you're curious.
Let's make a list so you can see by yourself how exhaustive it is:
I have a few favorites I always tend towards when picking a new book or trying a new-to-me author. And some I always stay clear from.
And what about romance book tropes? Okay, I won't start a discussion about it right now, it will be a complete new post, because they're even more numerous.
Have a great day!
