Get ready to have your heart broken and piece back together 💜
Reading all the praises and reviews of my books lately, I've realized I'm much more a women's fiction love stories author than just a straightforward romance author. Raise your hand if you agree. I was reading an article byNicholas Sparksthat spoke to me so much wherehe compared romance books to love stories. He said love stories have all the romance ingredients, but that tragedy is also present and a main part of the story. The characters are equal and growing together and helping each other out to overcome their past/hurt/problems instead of the FMC's main goal being to tame the MMC. Love stories don't follow the romance recipe as per se and the happily ever after isn't always promised.
A few weeks ago, I readThe Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros (Have you read it?), and yes it's a romance story, but it's so much more than that and it's full of grief and the happily ever after is bittersweet. It gave me a Nick and Dahlia'skinda vibe (new tears thinking about those two). The story is super sad up to the last page, but it's also beautiful. I was a crying mess in the middle of the night when I finished it. This book fits right in with my books and what Nicholas Spark said, so yeah, I write love stories!
And now the good news!!!!!
And the real question: Are you ready to be Blindsided?
My new book,BlindSided,is releasing in less than a week and you can still grab it at a special release price if you pre-order your copy.

In books news, Kickoff is ready (it's been for a while), and fingers crossed I'll be able to release it as planned on March 12. I was just giving it a read this week and I think you guys will really like it. For a moment, I had forgotten how funny and adorable Mason and Melinda were. And the chemistry between these two is just ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.
Next-door neighbors, and ex-friends-to-enemies, then friends-to-lovers, there's a little "Touch her and d!e" scene at the beginning of their epic and heartbreaking love story that sets the tone to the book. The paperback will include pretty formatted interiors with double-page pictures, and chapter headers (see example below). And some amazing (and funny) chapter titles. As for Heart Song paperback, the Kickoff paperback will include bonus material that won't be in the ebook version.
Believe me, you won't get enough of them. Their story is just captivating and full of feelings.
Do you prefer books with a little, a lot, of no spice at all? Or do you prefer books with whatever amount of spice as long as the story is engaging?
I think I'm more of the latter category. Sure, I love the spice, but I don't want it to be at the expense of the storyline, the character development, and/or the plot.
We've all read one of these books where there is so much spice it gets overwhelming and you have to skip the many scenes to get to the heart of the story, right?
Since Valentine's Day is in just a few weeks, I've decided to do a little game with you!
I've written below theTOP 5 spicy scenes 🌶️from my books according to comments I've received from readers over the years. Let me know which one isTHE ONE. You know, the scene that gave you tingles when you read it.
I fell in love with the Pierce family while I was writing the Wrecked series. Mason and Melinda kept popping in my mind, and every time Melinda confided in Ava about her own teen years, their story took form in my mind and I couldn't let it go.
Mason is the king of the football team at Elk River High, Michigan. Melinda is the star of the swim team, but they can't co-exist together even though they've known each other for years. What began as a childhood friendship, quickly turned into a frenemies kinda situation.
Now Seniors in Elk River High, they can't seem to escape the other's presence whatever they do, wherever they go. Sure, they share the same group of friends, and Melinda's best friend is dating Mason's brother, but denying the chemistry between them is not an easy feat. One night, as Mason comes to Melinda's rescue, they soon realize that maybe they don't hate each other as much as they thought...
Attraction will bring them together, but life-threatening secrets could push them apart...
