Last weekend was the second edition ofΒ Romance Invades the Canadian RockiesΒ book signing and I was lucky enough to be a part of it again this year. And let me say it was a truly magical day surrounded by readers, authors, narrators, and other book enthusiasts.
Β
This year, the event was held in downtown Calgary, just a short drive from my hometown.
Β
I met wonderful readers of mine, some people on my ARC team, and new-to-me readers too. I'm always so happy and excited to meet with you guys in person. You make these events so worth it with your smiles and your contagious energy. I swear, I signed so many tote bags that my silver Sharpie was giving up on me by the end of the day.Β

Reading all the praises and reviews of my books lately, I've realized I'm much more a women's fiction love stories author than just a straightforward romance author. Raise your hand if you agree. I was reading an article byΒ Nicholas SparksΒ that spoke to me so much whereΒ he compared romance books to love stories. He said love stories have all the romance ingredients, but that tragedy is also present and a main part of the story. The characters are equal and growing together and helping each other out to overcome their past/hurt/problems instead of the FMC's main goal being to tame the MMC. Love stories don't follow the romance recipe as per se and the happily ever after isn't always promised.

Rainy day? Book day. Day at the beach? Book day. Life would be much more fun if everyday was book day, no?
This is just a quick email today because my wifi is making me so mad, it takes forever to send or receive anything.Β
